 WELCOME

The Mission of The World Community Service Committee (WCS Committee) is to provide the vehicle for The Denver Rotary Club to support the international community through service. 

The WCS Committee works to develop and support projects with Rotary Clubs throughout the world in areas where challenges exist and where the resources of our members, our District 5450, and Rotary International can best be utilized to improve the lives and ensure sustainable living conditions for our friends and neighbors. Our committee distributes the funds of The Denver Rotary Club to local and international projects that support our mission.

The WCS Committee sponsors and supports projects that support our mission. Some projects originate with our club and others are brought to us from a variety of sources. We reaffirm through local contact that a project (be it local or international) is needed, wanted and has local support. Emphasis is given to projects that are self-sustaining. Project sponsors make direct contact with local clubs to leverage funding sources to maximum support. Sponsors also verify that project has Host Club Commitment in the participating country and complies with all requirements.
