To support the Denver Center for International Studies in ways that allow for enrichment of the program while exposing the students to how Rotary impacts the world.
All Denver Rotary activities are funneled through the DCIS Interact Club which was formed in 2005.
a. Physical: We are looking to build mail slots, a greenhouse, clean up the park adjacent to the school and build a mock UN.
b. Social: We will work with the school to develop programs to help the students perform in social settings. We will bring students to regular Rotary meetings in addition to various projects outside of the school.
c. Academic: We are looking at developing a relationship with Junior Achievement in addition to having Rotary members work with the students as mentors.
d. Teacher and staff training: We hope to provide, through our regular Rotarians, opportunities for the DCIS teachers and staff to improve their skill sets.
Our success is when a student at DCIS graduates and moves on to bigger and better things thanks to the work we have done as a committee. The greatest success will be when they become the next generation of Rotarians.
